We have received a very small quantity of original British #1 Mk III SMLE rifles that have been in French government storage since the end of World War II. Each gun has the “PP” marking with a 4-digit number which was the marking the French national police put on these guns when they were collected up after the war.
This gun is in very good condition, complete with all original parts, bolt is numbered to the gun as is the nose cap and rear sight, bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling, stock is in very good condition with no visible cracks. Caliber .303, comes with original magazine. Serial number of this gun is J4900, PP 1901 Original sling still on the gun as shown. Early model with magazine cutoff still installed.
