US Rock Island Arsenal Model 1903 Rifle. Serial# 371,658, Barrel Date SA 5-29. Caliber 30-06. Original, straight, Finger Groove Walnut stock, with P proof, and C-SAA in a rectangle. Shiny bore with sharp rifling. A very fine example of a gun that’s getting harder and harder to find on the loose, Rock Island ‘03 rifles are sought after collectibles, and this example, with its lower serial number, would enhance any collection.
